Berserkers vs Sauron's Rapture
Biff: Well, Slim, both
these teams are new to the pitch, and it showed today!
Slim: That's right,
Biff. I can't even remember how many times the ball was dropped in the
open field in this match. I do remember Berserker #12 dropping the ball
*three* times in a row, in the open field! I believe the coach has forgotten
this hapless hobgoblin's name, and has started calling him Butterfingers!
Biff: Don't forget about
the Vampire lord's questionable decision to sprint down the open field,
leading him to trip over his own bootlaces.
Slim: How could I? But
i wouldn't talk too loud about it... he doesn't look like the forgiving
sort!
Biff: As we've seen
from the other Vampire team in the league, Dead or Alive, the lesser vampires
have a tendency to vanish from the field for some reason. Sauron's Rapture
was lucky enough to field three vampires for the better part of the game,
and that certainly helped them out today.
Slim: The exception
to that happened at the beginning of the match, when neither of the lesser
vampires showed up for the kickoff, letting the Berserkers, and more specifically
Hthark the Unstoppable, march down the field and score (despite getting
knocked over!).
Biff:
But that's where the Berserker's scoring ended, despite getting two amazing
blitzes on kickoff. The Rapture used a couple of desperation pass attempts,
one
of which was completed, to get the ball past the seemingly unmoveable dragnet
defense the Berserkers showed.
Slim: That's right,
Biff, the Rapture seemed to slip through lots of tight spots, owing to
some fancy footwork, exceptional Hypnotic staring, and well-placed double-team
blocking, allowing them to score twice more after tying it.
